A story of colour, craft and contemporary ceramic tradition

Goodlife Magazin presents Królik as a Polish ceramic manufactory where traditional craftsmanship meets a bold contemporary vision. The article highlights the story of Kaflarnia Karny, a family workshop rooted in Podlasie, where handmade ceramic tiles have been created for generations.
For us, this recognition is especially meaningful because it captures what Królik stands for today: respect for heritage, love for material and the freedom to bring colour, relief and imagination into modern interiors.
Each Królik tile begins as a hand drawing by Aleksandra Żeromska. From there, the idea is translated into a three-dimensional ceramic form by the workshop masters. The process includes shaping, drying, firing, hand glazing and, in selected pieces, additional painting with precious details.
This is why Królik tiles are never just flat surfaces. They are tactile objects with depth, gloss and character, from hand-glazed ceramic tiles to decorative bas relief sculptures and bespoke tiled stoves.
The Goodlife feature also presents the first Królik collections, New Eden and Radość. One is expressive and dreamlike, filled with animals, plants and organic forms. The other is quieter and more symbolic, with hearts, clovers, poppies and flowers created as small accents of joy.
We are grateful that Goodlife Magazin noticed not only the finished objects, but also the story behind them: a nearly ninety-year-old manufactory, a living craft and a new design language for contemporary ceramic tile art.
